Drug & Alcohol Testing Program
Outsourcing administration of your testing programs with DOT Safety Group (DSG) is an easy and cost effective way to comply with state, federal, and insurance requirements. DSG is expert in managing driver testing under the provisions of the FMCSR, Part §382 and §40. We are also able to provide non-DOT testing services that are in compliance with state and local laws. Heavy fines and penalties are imposed for non-compliance with the law.
DOT Safety Group has partnered with Partners In Safety, a major Laboratory and MRO service to provide a complete Drug Testing Program at a competitive rate. They insure that you will be fully compliant with all DOT regulations and will provide all the necessary documentation to DOT Auditors, at time of audit. When the DOT requests the “Annual Summaries” you will have them for the time period you are with our program.
Our program includes:
- Periodic random selection of drivers for drug and alcohol testing. This selection process is provided from the drivers you provide us and we will contact you prior to each selection to update our records, to insure the selection is from your current drivers.
- Random selections are done on a quarterly (or monthly, if needed) basis by DSG - the awkward "problem" of selecting employees for testing is de-personalized. Our selection process is fair, legal, and completely random.
- DSG will provide an enforceable substance policy statement for your company, specifying rights and responsibilities for all employees.
- Conveniently located collection sites are set up by DSG; we have a nationwide network of clinics and health care centers. Arrangements for testing can be made any day of the week, any time, any place. DSG is also able to provide referrals for on-site collections.
- DSG maintains all records, laboratory reports, and professional evaluations. Non-negative reports are handled discreetly and as prescribed by law. DSG provides information on counseling services, including certified Substance Abuse Professionals as necessary.
- Training is available for managers and supervisors. Federal law requires Awareness training for all supervisory personnel.
